Llanidloes - Hundreds Fight Hospital Closure September 2006
Around 800 people turned out at a public meeting in Llanidloes to oppose any plans to close the town's community hospital.
An action group has been set up to fight any such proposal being put forward as part of a wider plan to reorganise health services in the area.

Health Chiefs opt to Cut Services 27/9/2006
Health chiefs in Powys have voted to cut services at four community hospitals, but objectors claim this will only lead to their closure.
Powys Local Health Board intends to axe beds, shut a maternity unit and cut other services at Llanidloes, Knighton, Bronllys, near Brecon and Builth Wells.
